Bob Fulbright is the amazing educator who won the 2017 John Kingsley Kerver Educator Award. This award is generously sponsored each year by Karen North in honor of her father, a former engineer at Exxon.
As a graduate from Lake Forest College and the University of Houston – Clear Lake, Mr. Fulbright has enthusiastically worked as an educator to prepare students to be productive citizens for the last 9 years. In 2014, he became the Science Instructional Specialist and Campus STEM Coordinator for Olle STEM Academy. In May 2017, Bob was named Alief’s District STEM Facilitator and is focused on developing strategic alliances with business and secondary education partners while also facilitating a shift to STEM integration and problem-based learning environments for all. Throughout the last four years, Mr. Fulbright has worked closely with students, staff, parents, and the community to foster a culture and mindset that embraces out-of-the-box thinking, experiences and exposures in everyday life and challenges to spark creativity and innovation. Because of his efforts, many students in the district have been able to experience learning in a more stimulating, thoughtful and inspiring manner.
We thank Bob for all of his hard work to promote STEM!
