Are you looking to give your students a practical application for using scientific processes? Take science and innovation to the next level by inviting your students to participate in the Young Inventor’s Showcase or even better, host an “Inventors’ Showcase” at your school! Students will conduct research, apply their science knowledge, and utilize their innovation and design skills as they create their own inventions!

Individual students or winners of your school’s Inventors’ Showcase can apply to the city-wide 28th Annual Young Inventors’ Showcase of Houston at the Wolff Center of Entrepreneurship, C.T Bauer School of Business, University of Houston, where your students have a chance to win a patent! The grand prize winner will work with an attorney to potentially receive a patent for their invention. Previous winners used earnings from marketing their inventions to help pay for college expenses! Entry in the Showcase is free and open to all children in Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Applications for Showcase must be post-marked by April 15th, 2016 and the competition will be held on the University of Houston campus on May 21, 2016.

For more information on how to host an Inventors’ Showcase at your school or to receive applications for your students or children, contact Max Martin at (888) 881-6001.

Winning students will be recognized at the Young Inventors’ Showcase Awards Ceremony and will receive awards at Energy Day on October 15, 2016.
